The Center for Service-Learning and Social Action at John Carroll University, University Heights, OH

This blog contains direct quotes from websites as of today’s date. Programs and policies do change, at colleges, from time to time, so please check with the colleges directly to receive any updates. These are not, necessarily, the biggest, best, or most popular programs at the college, but they are the ones that just “caught my eye” as unique, special, interesting, or just plain awesome. They are randomly listed in the blog section of this website. Enjoy!

From the John Carroll University website, 2023: “The Center for Service-Learning and Social Action (CSSA) at John Carroll University advances community-engaged learning and prepares students for lifelong civic engagement and social action. Explore exciting ways you can get involved, stay engaged, and make a difference with others! The Center for Service and Social Action sponsors twelve academic internships focused on engaging the realities and complexities of poverty and homelessness in the city of Cleveland.”

The Center for Service-Learning and Social Action offers weekly service opportunities which are posted on their website, as well as numerous special events and programs throughout the year. This program also offer opportunities for students to become Student Liaisons. These student leaders serve as ambassadors that connect the University to the community.
