PROGRAM SPOTLIGHTS:

ENGINEERING:

From their website: “It’s not easy to find engineering programs at a small liberal arts college. Our program — which includes pathways for electrical and mechanical engineering — is unique for just that reason. We cover the technical expertise required for training engineers, but at its core, our program ensures students are ready to adapt, experiment, and keep learning—preparing them well for success in their careers and beyond.

ABET-accredited: Monmouth College’s Bachelor of Science in Engineering is proudly accredited by ABET’s Engineering Accreditation Commission—the gold standard in engineering education. This recognition ensures our graduates are prepared to lead, innovate, and excel worldwide.”

HEALTH SCIENCE AND HUMAN MOVEMENT:

From their website: “Understanding human movement is key to improving health and healthcare. Our interdisciplinary Health Science and Human Movement major combines exercise science, biology, and chemistry to give you a holistic view of the body in motion. You’ll be prepared for careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic medicine, athletic training, and more — with guidance from professors every step of the way.

As a student, you’ll explore science foundations in lab courses while developing movement skills, motivation, and the ability to design and adapt movement habits to meet individual needs. This blend of science and applied practice ensures you graduate ready to make an impact in health and wellness.”

NEUROSCIENCE:

From their website: “Our interdisciplinary major combines biology, psychology, chemistry, and more to study the chemical reactions, electrical processes, and brain mechanisms that shape how we think, feel, and act — and what happens when those systems don’t work as they should.

Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field. Neuroscience graduates can pursue a wide variety of graduate, professional school, and career path options.

You’ll choose between two academic tracks: molecular neuroscience, for students drawn to medicine and health-related fields, and behavioral neuroscience, for students who want to focus on the connections between the brain, behavior, and society.”
