It's After May 1. What now? A Helpful List

If you look on the calendar, you can see that May 1 has come and gone. Just as an FYI, there are hundreds of colleges, especially small private colleges, still accepting applications for this fall.

So…If you are looking for a Plan B (less expensive, closer to home, or perhaps you decided not to take a gap year after all…), you have plenty of colleges to choose from. Most of these small private colleges are also still awarding generous merit scholarships.

Below are some of the small colleges (fewer than 3,500 students) that are still, to my knowledge, accepting applications. The average admit rate for these colleges is 76%. The average amount of merit scholarship awarded is close to $20K.
