Automotive Aftermarket/Innovative Marketing/Management at Northwood University, Midland, MI

This blog contains direct quotes from websites as of today’s date. Programs and policies do change, at colleges, from time to time, so please check with the colleges directly to receive any updates. These are not, necessarily, the biggest, best, or most popular programs at the college, but they are the ones that just “caught my eye” as unique, special, interesting, or just plain awesome. They are randomly listed in the blog section of this website. Enjoy!

From the Northwood University website, 2023: “There are more older vehicles on the road today than at any time in history. And customizing cars is on the rise. These trends are fueling an enormous opportunity for careers in the aftermarket auto industry. But if you want to excel, you’re going to need the right skills. Which we can help develop.

“In our Automotive Aftermarket Management track, you’ll immediately begin taking courses in your major and have opportunities to participate in events, such as AAPEX/SEMA in Las Vegas (one of the world’s largest automotive trade shows). You can land internships with big-name companies, such as Vipar Heavy Duty, Delphi, Edelbrock, Federal-Mogul, Tenneco and NGK. And you’ll be involved in an intensive senior capstone project that you’ll pitch to leading industry professionals.

Innovation Marketing and Management (IMM) provides a strong foundation in marketing and management principles that enables students to apply those concepts to create a plan that converts an idea to a new process, product or service.

“Innovators investigate trends, cultivate opportunities and provide creative solutions. This minor pairs well with any of our business majors. All industries are looking for employees who can implement new ideas that allow them to reach their strategic goals and create a better experience for their audience(s).”
